Regional Chair – Meridie Jackson

Meridie is a commercial beef producer in Central Victoria who has worked for national Agribusiness and Finance organisations around Australia and in the US. 

Meridie’s farming operation at Glenburn, Victoria supplies beef carcasses directly to local premium butchers under the premium grass-fed beef brand, Smith and Jackson.

Meridie is a passionate advocate for the positive contribution the red meat industry makes to the Australian economy, the health of people who enjoy it and the environment. She is interested in continuous improvement in all aspects of food and fibre production  and believes that RD&E plays a critical role in advancing both the productivity of farming operations and contribution that farming businesses make to broader society.

Meridie is keen to ensure that Central Victorian producers are connected to their industry RD&E investments so that practical solutions for their production challenges can be developed and the red meat industry as a whole is positioned to meet the opportunities ahead.
