Western VIC ● Central VIC ● South-east VIC & TAS ● South Australia
The Southern Australia Livestock Research Council (SALRC) is seeking motivated sheepmeat and grass‑fed beef producers to join its Regional Committees and contribute to shaping livestock research, development, extension and adoption (RDE&A) across southern Australia.
Regional Committee Members play a vital role in ensuring producer priorities inform industry investment decisions. By contributing local insight and practical expertise, members help guide research priorities and ensure initiatives deliver meaningful on‑farm outcomes.

We’re looking for producers who:
● Are actively involved in grass-fed beef and/or sheepmeat production.
● Understand livestock production systems and regional challenges.
● Are interested in research, innovation and continuous improvement.
● Enjoy collaborating, sharing ideas and contributing to discussions.
● Are committeed to supporting the future of the livestock industry.
Role details
● Approximately four days per year.
● Sitting fees provided and reasonable expenses reimbursed.
● Appointments are for three-year terms, with potential for reappointment.
● Tenure begins following the SALRC AGM on 7 September 2026.
● Current members are eligible for re-appointment, however all positions are open to other applicants.
